Contemporary Consultants Company was founded by Susan Bouffard, LNHA, M.Ed., RHIA, in 1981 and developed into a busy health information management consulting business.
As coding and reimbursement standards evolved, healthcare organizations faced greater workloads, more specialization, and a limited local supply of experienced coders. Contemporary Consultants was repeatedly engaged to help clients maintain lower discharged-not-final-billed levels and meet growing coding needs.
DocuCoders was created to dedicate a significant portion of that talent specifically to outsourced coding, pairing deep HIM experience with secure technical processes.
